FESTIVAL FAQs

1. How do I participate as a vendor and/or restaurant at the Mai Tai Marketplace?
All registration forms are available on this site or please email Liz Bell at liz@hawaiihotels.com for more information. We are limited in capacity so please contact us ASAP if you are interested in joining the FUN!

2. I am NOT a bartender; can I enter the contest for World's Best Mai Tai?
Our contest is limited to working bartenders representing their establishment.

3. Can my children attend the event? Can my child come to the concert?
Yes, the event is open to all ages.  However, we do ask that you keep your children with you at all times.  Children are welcome at the concert but must purchase a ticket to attend.

4. Are there assigned seats at the concert?
Concert seating is open and all seats are GREAT in this small, oceanfront venue.  It is a rare opportunity to see world class music up close and personal.

5. Do we get to taste the Mai Tais being judged?
Per liquor laws we are unable to provide free drinks or tasters of the Mai Tais being prepared for judging.  However, there are plenty of Mai Tais for sale including the winning Mai Tai from our 2nd Annual Festival.

6. Will there be food served at the Mai Tai Festival?
Yes! This event is delicious. Sampler plates are available for purchase at the Battle of the BBQ for $2/plate plus ice cream, kettle corn and more!  During the pool party and Mai Tai Mix off Royal Kona Resort will have food booths with a variety of items available for purchase.

7. Can I use my credit card at the Festival?
All food and beverage purchases will be made by script.  Script sales booths will be located throughout the property. Some of these booths will accept credit cards. There will also be ATMs on property.

8. Are there special Room Rates for the Festival?
Yes, the Accommodations Packages link has all the information or call 800-22-ALOHA (222-5462) to make reservations.
